Azerbaijan can contribute to reducing India-Pakistan tensions- Ambassador

“The Indian government is ignoring calls to avoid escalating tensions in the region,” Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Qasim Mohiuddin said during a press conference, APA reports.

He said that the actions taken by New Delhi are not only aimed at one country but at the entire region: “I believe that for peace to be achieved in the region, India must first stop its steps aimed at escalating tensions in South Asia. On the other hand, I think countries like Azerbaijan, which are partners of Pakistan, should have a serious impact on this process. International organizations and especially Azerbaijan can make significant contributions in this matter. At the moment, India is demonstrating an unconstructive stance. At the same time, countries supporting India should refrain from such steps, and official New Delhi must stop making baseless accusations against our country."
